Peaked

Visited the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh on Friday. The main reason for my visit was to see the Rip It Up exhibition - a history of Scottish Pop Music, everything from Lonnie Donegan and Lulu in the 1950's and 1960's and tracing it right through to acts such as Young Fathers today.

In terms of genre the exhibition included features on (eg) The Corries, Capercaillie and Runrig to Nazareth, Simple Minds, Big Country and Primal Scream. Just about anyone who was, or is, anybody was featured. A really enjoyable and interesting exhibition.

However, no photos were allowed, so afterwards I went off to find another exhibit that's on display this summer - the space capsule that brought astronaut / cosmonaut Tim Peake back to earth from the ISS in 2016. Really hard to imagine this tiny craft hurtling through space with three people inside.
