Comma - two ways

Day 2 of the Big Butterfly Count and I returned to the increasingly dodgy Nature Reserve, Christian Fields.

There used to be lots of butterflies on a sunny day because the buddleias and brambles form quite a nourishing attraction. Today, I was shocked at how bedraggled and parched most of the buddleias and other bushes looked. I saw only two peacocks on them but several Commas. I was rather pleased that these two posed, showing the pattern of the wings AND the underside with the distinctive punctuation mark that gives them their name.

Two Speckled Woods and dozens of assorted whites......all to be duly entered if I can negotiate the naff map on the count form.
