Today is the last of our trip and the over-riding objective is to get our bikes to the airport and on the plane. Needless to say there is a bike route all the way to the airport, and once there we take off our pedals, turn the handlebars around, put the bikes in 2 plastic bags, tape them up and turn up to the check-in. There we have to wait for sevarl rather anxious minutes whilst the woman at the counter phones for instructions. After carefully reading and re-reading all the rules, the bikes are admitted to over-sized luggage and we are on our way home.
