The promise of 80% rain hasn't been fulfilled and yesterday's drizzle didn't wet anything. Everything in the garden is parched and desperate for a drink.

The figs and grapes are, however, doing well. But the plums have all fallen too early and will not ripen. The chickens and ducks enjoy all the fruit and veg especially as there is little grass or dandelions for them to pick at.
