Saturday Sun-up!

I set the alarm for 4am to get up and capture a sunrise, and chose Newport Transporter Bridge (Wales, UK). It was a lovely morning and I was back in bed by 5.45am to grab a couple more hours sleep.

The oldest daughter and partner arrived before 9am having taken 9 month old granddaughter Amelia to her 8am Saturday morning swimming class. It's always a pleasure playing with the grandkids.

Newport Transporter Bridge was built in 1906 and one of only two still working in the UK, and half dozen worldwide. The gondola (in the photo) travels 645ft from one side of the River Usk to the other.
