Quaker Tapestry Museum

Back Blip 5- Mother used to do a lot of embroidery when she was young so I took her to the Quaker Tapestry Museum to see the 77 beautifully embroidered panels telling the story of Quakerism. I found this panel particularly interesting having spent time in Australia this year  and read about the women arriving for minor offences. Elizabeth married into the Quaker chocolate Fry family but became famous for prison reform. She is on the plastic £5 notes that were printed between 2001 and 2016.
