High Sun

Most of the time, the Sun is just a disc arcing across the sky. But, sometimes, as when viewing one of those optical tricks where a vase becomes two faces in profile or the treads of a staircase become the underside of another set of stairs shifted through ninety degrees, sometimes, the Sun is revealed as an incomprehensibly large astronomical entity around which we are simultaneously hurtling and spinning. When this happens, I have to lie down to avoid being flung off in into terrifying space.
