Odds and Ends

A HOT day!  Baked some cheese scones and malt loaf this morning (early), finishing touches to a trifle and put some chairs out in the shade.  This afternoon had 4 friends round for tea and lots of talking!  Did go for a walk this evening, wasn't much cooler!  Top two shots were taken in the garden and the bottom two on my walk.  I'd never seen so many ladybirds together as I did this evening.  Nearly every fennel flower had one on!
