L is back from a week in London which seems to have been spent watching dramatic productions and accumulating clothes from thrift shops. She was delighted by the boots she found, but the highlight was clearly seeing Ian McKellen from the stalls as he played Lear.

Her return means that all four of us are together for the first time in a month, apart from the day spent in Montreuil for the party. Now I can look forward to hearing more singing like this.
