The dropped stitch

Cow selection

The local gardening club summer get-together was held today. A really good afternoon. A lovely garden to look round, lots of nattering and catching up with friends I haven't seen for a while.

We were treated to a magnificent spread of food. The hosts had prepared a barbecue and each guest brought a dish - salads, homemade bread, quiches. Then strawberries, melon, raspberries, cream, chocolate brownies.

Went for a walk this evening. Hardly a breath of wind at all, which feels so strange for Orkney.

My blip is of cows I met along the way, with the observation that they are so much more attractive than the bull. He features in the extra for reasons of comparison.
