Ducketts Grove......!

Myself and my friend spent a lovely afternoon wandering around this fantastic building....it’s the ruins of a 19th century grand house....it’s interior was burned down in 1931 and it was never rebuilt...the building and surrounding grounds are now owned and maintained by County Carlows county council..
They are doing a marvelous job reclaiming two inter connecting walled gardens..re-planting and bringing them back to their former glory...
They also have a lovely tea-rooms and some craft shops in the courtyard...we had a very nice lunch and then after our meanderings had coffee and shared a slice of coffee cake!
