Brave Blue World

Greenery (and yellowery and brownery).

After a lazy morning and a reflection (as is the custom in this day of the year) for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, it was off to Kymin in Herefordshire to have a look at some Waterway Recovery Group work and to plant a tree.

The Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal Trust are working to restore this rural canal and I went as a representative of Cargill (who have donated money to the trust) and plant a tree alongside this part of the cut.

It looks as though the actual excavation will happen in July next year, whereupon the canal will fill and be left to repopulate with the usual canal flora and fauna.

That will make an interesting photo project and I'm looking forward to matching it with the one I'm doing for the Thames and Severn canal just across the road from where I live.
