Lydford Gorge

On the way back from Cornwall this morning we stopped for a stroll in Lydford Gorge on the edge of Dartmoor. The Gorge is owned by the National Trust and you can do a two hour walk around the entire Gorge or, as we did due to lack of time, short walks taking in the two main sights, the 30m Whitelady waterfall and the Devil's Cauldron.

Despite all the dry weather it was still quite moist down there and shady. At this particular spot in the river the water was very still and crystal clear andI liked the way it made it difficult to work out in this photo where greenery and reflections meet.

Many thanks for the kind comments on yesterday's post.
