Pimped Out....

I suspect that this truck might belong to Patrick Amiot as it is parked near one of his sculptures in Santa Rosa. His studio is in Sebastopol and his home on Florence is the base for many sculptures nearby. It used to be on our 'visitors' trail' and I have photographed many of his works over the years, but there is an increasing number of his 'junk works'  appearing around the part of town where I was this morning. I wonder what it would be like to look in the rear view window and see this truck behind you?

It's been a very quiet day here today. The British Open is finished, it's a rest day for the Tour de France, OilMan came in from his efforts in the garden when the thermometer hit 90 degrees, and I finished the hand stitching on the binding on Peter's quilt yesterday.

The quilt has been cleaned of dog hair and dust...a by-product of having to put it together on the floor...and is all wrapped up and awaiting a day which actually finds Peter at home so I can 'officially' give it to him. He's working at the Bohemian Club 'summer camp' on the Russian River, mostly driving wealthy dignitaries, conservative politicians and rich businessmen around in a golf cart. The Bohemian Club is famously 'men only' and stories abound about what actually goes on around there are legion but eyewitness reports are rare....Peter is admirably discreet despite our efforts to get a juicy story out of him....

One of our elderly neighbors was putting something in his car the other day when it started rolling down his driveway. He ran in hot pursuit (not sure how he was planning to stop it) but it rolled across the street and came to rest against a tree in a rather jungly section of garden across the street. For the first time she is probably happy to have that jungle since it stopped the car from fetching up in her pool! There were no injuries that I know of but the car is now back in the elderly neighbor's driveway with the door stuck open. He needs Peter to drive him around in a golf cart....
