Cycling the Lochs

BACKBLIP
We were all up very early this morning as we had to take Mummy to Aviemore to get the 8.30 train to Perth. We were in plenty time and the lady guard instructed us where to stand on the platform for coach B as it was the 11 carriage Virgin from Inverness to London.

Waving goodbye we were back home to the Boat to get the bikes out and off we went to Loch Garten, through the great cycle/walking paths to Loch Garten first of all. There was a birders tour and we had a listen in to when they were listing all the birdlife, including the ospreys which were living by the Loch (loads).

Next stop was my favourite, Loch Mallachie, looking out from the shore was stunning with the hills beyond and the rest of the forest of Scots Pines. Off we went again and the boys rattled round on their bikes coming to proper mountain bike tracks, but as my bike is a hybrid I took it easier.

Home for lunch then a short drive to Granton-on-Spey for a walk with Breagha up a few hills overlooking the town. As we walked past the very pristine caravan site found a cherry tree bursting with cherries hanging over the pavement so we enjoyed a few. Again, stunning views from the viewpoints and then we followed an old railway line back into the town. Ice cream before we drove back to the Boat.

Tea then more games. Labrynth which is my favourite. Another fab day but totally exhausted
