A Gaggle of Geisha

Said a sad goodbye to S, then up to Kawaguchi for a samurai parade. Lots of milling around as people in costume got off buses and bikes, followed by the parade, fronted with marching bands, ninja demonstrations, and ending with all manner of traditional dress. An old man turned to me as the traditional music came on and said proudly: "this is Japan".
