I think Smokey, rather like myself and all the garden plants, has been rather wilting in the current heatwave. He's certainly been very chatty about something in recent weeks. He hasn't been blipped since 16th June so here's a quick snap of him on the side path.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Gary U.S. Bonds - This Little Girl  (1981)
I was watching Lilyhammer 3  (2014) when Gary US Bonds appeared performing this song in the club run by Giovanni "Johnny" Henriksen (played by Steven van Zandt) in Lillehammer, Norway, and I recognised the singer, whose early sixties records such as Quarter To Three and New Orleans were big favourites of mine, and also an inspiration to Bruce Springsteen and Miami Steve van Zandt.
This song, from the album Dedication, was written by Bruce Springsteen for his own album The River  but he gave it to Bonds as it suited his style better than his own. The link then becomes obvious as Miami Steve co-produced the album and his band the Asbury Jukes play on the record.
