34ºC

An interesting day, and of course, another hot one.  In fact, according to early evening local news, it was a record 35ºC for the area, although it had fallen to "only" 33.5ºC, as registered by my car, as I drove back from Holland On Sea to Chelmsford this afternoon. This was after a morning spent half watching Mark and Ralph engaged in car maintenance (mine - thank you chaps) and then working in and around Ralph's garage and it's extraordinary contents - just a fragment of his collection of old cars and even older spares, sprinkled all over his property, inside and out. Well, it's good to have a hobby....

Bro called round not long after I got home and stayed the rest of the afternoon and evening. He's off to Centre Parcs tomorrow for a few days with his youngest.
