La Pyramide du Louvre

You could definitely feel the November winds in Paris today. I had to wrap up well to brave the conditions.

I am a big fan of the Pyramide structures at the Louvre and wanted to take some photos in the evening light.

This is a project that created such a stir when built in the courtyard of the famous Louvre Museum. I.M. Pei's 1989 design for the Pyramide du Louvre at the historic Louvre Palace starts with architecture's most significant symbol: the pyramid. Spectacular in concept and form, they provide a startling reminder of the audacious ability of modern architects to invigorate and re-circulate traditional architectural forms.
