And today’s photo is .......

....... yellowish!
Down to Aden Park and the allotment this morning.
The main photo is of a ringlet butterfly and a hoverfly. Apparently, there are over 250 species of hoverflies in Britain.
They do not sting but they mimic bees and wasps with their stripes so that predators avoid them. Unfortunately, I suspect many are killed by humans who think they are a kind of wasp!!!
The extra is of our allotment. My wife did most of the “groundwork” this year because of my cracked collar-bone.
However, today we took home - the last of the strawberries, some raspberries, redcurrants, gooseberries, broccoli, beetroot, peas, tatties, broad-beans, kale, parsley, little carrots for Dylan and some sweet peas. Not a bad harvest.
Have a fine weekend.
