Grand kids time

We had booked to go to the postal Museum today awith a ride on the Mail Train.
It was really worth the money, a fascinating insight to the underground rail network and a few things I didn't know. EG Henry 8th started the mail system. The original post boxes were green and changed to red so they could be seen easier, Rowland Hill saw the need for a postal service accessible to all that he produced the Penny black stamp. He also built Alms houses of which we have some in Ashford

we then walked to covent garden market for a drink before heading to Trafalgar Square and the the south Bank
The late afternoon storms and rain in London were most welcome. took refuge in EAT before heading home. After the downpour came the sun
