My life

What matters to me?

The focus of one of our displays that is demanded by our new merge with another hospital- what matters to the patients, families, significant others and even the staff who work on the ward.
Probably the wrong thing to ask today as our nurses receive their long awaited pay rise and face the reality that they have once again been duped! The rise is not as great as the promise sounded with most nurses unable to tell the difference-
At our particular hospital a few of the girls have a raise that puts them into the next band for car parking so they’ve been given a small amount more then had most of it taken back in car park fees - no one becomes a nurse for the money but this so called pay rise is insulting:-(
