Definitely a Silly Saturday!

You may have seen on the news that there have been huge problems for passengers at London Stansted today, especially it seems Ryanair passengers. The stories concentrated on families unable to jet off on their long awaited holidays, but the chaos also affected incoming flights. Daughter#2 and her boyfriend flew in from Frankfurt this morning. Their flight was delayed (OK this happens) but they had to wait for over two hours in the baggage area with no water, no food, and precious little information. After two hours their flight info disappeared from the monitors and they were resigning themselves to a lost baggage claim when a fellow passenger passed on the news that their cases were now turning up on the Milan carousel.

We though they would get to us by lunchtime, but we ended up collecting them at Didcot railway station at around 6pm. We had to make a detour on the way to Didcot due to a major road closure, and on the way home we nearly had to pull over because of the torrential rain.

Definitely a Silly Saturday!
