If you can't beat them...

Up and Over.

Penrith Show day!  After weeks of no rain and blazing sunshine over night it poured down.  I have never heard rain beating on a roof to match it.  It was still raining when we got up.  Rain varying between heavy and only just raining all morning.

By lunch time things were improving and blue sky beginning to show.  It gave a lot of interest in crowd watching, there were two "orders of dress".    Those who had arrived early in wellies, anoraks etc an the later arrivals in shorts and shirts.

I spent most of my "wandering round time" in the cattle and sheep lines.  There is always a fine display of beautiful stock to admire and mentally judge.  The show has a very "horsey" feel with classes starting around 8:00 before the public arrive and going on until the very end.  The blip is of a young lady who was clearly enjoying every minute of the competition (some looked frankly scared) on an energetic and enthusiastic mount.
