Skagsudde

It was the rest day so we explored north of Örnsköldsvik. Firstly we went to Skallbergsgrottorna, caves in a granite hill caused by the erosion of a diabase dyke. Here the cave is equipped with ladders and ropes to help you through the narrow (<1m) cave. It was great fun and pleasantly cool. We then visited an old iron works before ending up at Skagsudde lighthouse where we followed a delightful nature trail on the raised smooth rocks by the sea. The blip is looking southe along the high coast.
