Sunflower

They are finally in bloom. Not the spectacular display we've had in the past, but some pretty colors.

The big garden task today was digging up all the iris under the big plum tree. This was my holding area, to make sure I saved a few of all the colors. Problem is that none of them ever flowered in that shade, so I have no idea what's what. They multiplied beyond reason, layer upon layer, so even though they started out labelled, they sure didnt finish that way. I saved a couple from each random section, hoping I'll end up with a good variety. A couple big cartons went out on the sidewalk, free for nothing.
