Blood moon?

There was a long eclipse of the moon this evening and we should have had a good view in Southern England. We went up to the top of White Hill (eastern end of Watership Down). where the Hannington transmission mast is, so we could look to the south over the valley to see the moon. However after weeks of clear blue days and star filled nights, we had nearly complete cloud cover and we gave up as it was cold, windy and there was nothing to see...

Instead here is a picture of the 151.9 m tall Hannington transmission mast on Cottington Hill, to the east of where we were standing.
