Young Stag

The National Trust's Petworth House was my destination today.  Although I have visited many times over the years, there is always something new to see or learn about, and today, for the first time, I ventured into the town itself to find a lovely cobbled street (extra).

On my way home I stopped to take a walk in the wider parkland hoping to see some deer.  It took a while, but I eventually spotted a herd on a far hillside. Then, as I made my way but the car, they suddenly formed a long line and with a stag leading (probably the master stag), they headed across to the other side of the park (extra).  I caught this young stag looking at me as he and his companions paused briefly en route
