Gathering

People traveled from all over Scotland including Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.   I even met somebody from Brittany who found himself in Inverness and decided to take part.  It was a friendly and cheerful gathering spurred on by bystanders cheering us on our way.  We expected there might be 4,000 - 5,000 but in the end it was more like 14,000.  Considering the geography and the weather forecast this was a lot of people.  It was a joy to be part of it.
