Road set and right away

I went over to the Great Central Railway (Loughborough to Leicester) today in the hope that following the recent rain they might be running with steam again.  For the past few weeks the fire risk has been too great so they have been using only diesels or diesel assisted steam.  The restrictions are, however, still in place.  They are operating diesel assisted steam from Loughborough to Rothley but diesel only for the southern section from Rothley to Leicester.  As today's steam engine, a BR type 2, was not really working very hard it was not so great for photographs today.  Instead I have snatched a picture on the move of one of the unsung heroes that keep us safe from his signalbox together with his signal allowing us to pass.
