In the great sort out of books for junior's school's Family Fun Day I came across this..and it hasn't made the moving on pile.
Just too good to hand on!
From 1972 and a trip down memory lane of dinners cobbled together in our girls' flat at uni just down the road from Penny Lane in Liverpool to impress the current love interests.
The list is endless and include
Mushrooms a la Greque
Fish fingers in sauce verte (though can't recall attempting this)
Prawn cocktail( definitely remember this on super special occasions)
Apricot chicken
Chicken a la King
Chicken Provencale
Steak Diane
The puddings mind you run to Cold Grand Marnier Souffle, Melon Alaska and Brandy Alexander Icecream and well past our expertise and budget.

The rest of the time was much simpler fare involving a lot of mince and sausages (useful living above a butcher's shop) and trips across the road to the chippy.
