Green Heron ....

.... at Green Pond. 

On the way to Jacobsburg State Park this afternoon we drove by Green Pond .... there are sometimes turtles sunning themselves.  We weren't surprised when we saw this Green Heron as we've seen them here before. What surprised me was the fact that he/she didn't fly off immediately like they usually do!  I was able to get a few decent pictures of this beauty. 

When we arrived at Jacobsburg we went back to the frog pond to check on the frogs and see if there were any Clearwing Hummingbird moths like last Saturday. There weren't as many but we did see some .... pictured in my extra. 

We had a nice walk around the park before returning home to relax for the rest of the day ..... another Saturday done.
