Smardale Gill.

A lovely walk along the old railway line with lots of butterflies on the wild flowers. Saw Herons and two roe deer. Walked up to the top of Smardale Fell and then back along the railway line. In the photo you can see the viaduct. I have put an extra photo of the old Lime Kilns and another of the old railway track.  Lovely to walk in this area as its not as busy as the lakes.
