Swallowtail's sip

This swallowtail butterfly was having a long sip on our hydrangea bush this morning just before the first of the feeble showers we have had today.

Papa House Wren is still ridding us of the earwig population as he and Mama raise their raucous babies in the house on the barn. It's hot and humid, but busy in the back garden. I spotted the fledged wrens from the other brood in the tiny house. They were flying around out back with their parents still serving them bugs amid chattering and typical busy wren noise. T saw a doe and two spotted fawns walk by the stone wall out back early this morning and a gang of turkeys with their chicks. I wish I had seen the fawns.

For the Record,
This day came in with hot, humid weather that is flirting with rain. So far we have seen only a misty shower that provided zero relief.
