One-Horse Town

Not the best of shots, but I couldn't help but notice this life-sized horse  laid flat on the pavement being mauled by a grizzly bear and overseen by a tiny little guy stood on his colleague's shoulders. Only in Huddersfield and right outside a sleazy cinema. You couldn't make it up!

On another note, I headed over to Batley Library and Art Gallery this afternoon as I had been invited to a "This is Your Life" presentation for local historian (and relative) Malcolm Haigh BEM. The event was attended by the Kirklees Mayor Cllr Gwen Lowe (see extra).

Overall an exciting day with the evening finishing on a good note after a walk up to the moor.
