Orrest Head

A more relaxed day was called for after the exertions of the past few days. Supples were needed so a trip to Booths in Windermere was required.

We then decided to have a steady climb up Orrest Head the first fell that Alfred Wainwright climbed. As you can imagine it was very busy on top but does give a 360 degree view. It wasn’t the clearest day but still worth the walk up.

Richard had his arm redressed and checked which was reassuring that the skin is gradually improving. We finished the day with a gentle stroll along the shore of Lake Windermere.
