Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Mini Adventure

Bullied the children out of bed and managed to get them close to being ready to go out by the back of nine - last thing I did before leaving was check my phone only to discover Auntie Suzi had set a message saying she couldn't meet us as she had to work. Tried to phone her but no answer so broke the news to very disappointed children. Phone rang - Auntie Suzi, yes she was at work but only until eleven, when were we going to get there - oh, about eleven. Excellent, sorted, we would head for St Andrews and pick her up from work! Never mind that she had been there since five, who needs to sleep when nieces and nephews are off school and wanting to come out to play! Piled everyone into the car but unfortunately D had the larger car for work today so had to put Josh in the back of the mini and then pack the bags, wellies and jackets round about him - no problem!
We spent a fantastic few hours running about the beach at Tentsmuir, thank you Chaos Bros! Suzi has lived only 5 miles from this fantastic country park for the last 6 months and only discovered it 2 weeks ago. She was a little disappointed when I stole her thunder and suggest we go there as she thought she had discovered the perfect place for the children and Coco, which she had! Coco was very well behaved and got off lead to chase sticks, still not interested in going into the water past her knees. After snacks on the beach we were still hungry and had a late lunch of bacon rolls which Josh thought the best he'd ever tasted - nothing like sea air for a good appetite!
Children back to school tomorrow but feels good to have got out and about on their days off!
