Not only are the Wild Carrot (Queen Anne’s Lace or Daucus carota) plants attractive but they attract so many interesting insects in the garden like these hoverflies and although there are only two kinds visible here there was a third just out of the frame.  In the centre of many of the flower umbels there are sometimes one or more tiny red flowers as can be seen here but they are often overlooked.
