Kinloch Anderson sundial

Blipped the Kinloch Anderson Sundial in Inverleith Park this afternoon, when I was getting some late afternoon steps in.

The sundial was unveiled in 1890 and was presented by Councillor Kinloch Anderson. On the south face of the dial, it is inscribed, "So passes life, Alas! How swift."

Councillor Anderson owned a famous Edinburgh kilt company and as it was the company’s 150th anniversary this year, they decided to refurbish the sundial and here’s the result. I bet it’s been getting a lot of use this summer.

Well it’s the weekend now, I hope you all enjoy it.
