Bee in the City

I went into Manchester this evening to meet up with a former work colleague who I hadn't seen for around 20 years.

I had about half an hour to spare when I got to Oxford Road station and came across this bee sculpture which I hadn't seen on my last visit. On a quick stroll around I spotted a couple of other sculptures which are part of a series called Bee in the City.

This is the Manchester STEM Bee which is a visual celebration of Manchester's scientific heritage past and present and was created by Kelly Stanford. I like this picture because the background makes it look very sci-fi and futuristic and the I think the low angle and slant emphasises the point.
