Desperate

I hung up a bedsheet in the kitchen window when the sun came around. I keep spraying water on it, but the sun is drying it faster than I can keep it wet (behind the blinds!). I've already sprayed more than one liter in just a few hours.
How much longer will this last? I've been grocery shopping in the early morning, but it was already hot, too hot.
Holidays now, but not much I can do outside. Perhaps in the early morning or late at night. During the day you can only hide at home. I feel really really sorry for everybody who has to work outside.

I'm now taking it easy, watching the extended version of Avatar, a fan swirling the hot air around, giving an illusion of relief as long as I sit quietly on the couch.
