Swan Family on Seafield Pond

It's a while since I have been around Seafield Pond on the afternoon walk largely because we take Megan a long walk in the afternoon to use up some of her energy and Zoe now gets a far shorter walk. I had seen earlier in the year that a pair of swans was nesting in the reeds at the far end of the pool but had not notice whether they had produce any progeny. Seeing them in the distance today with cygnets around them I decided to find out how their new family was doing and was amazed to find that they have seven cygnets all of whom seem to be doing well. Last year there were six cygnets which were eventually whittled down to five presumably by predators.
