The Matson

We Finns call the Volvo Amazon the Matson. It was very popular here, as it was constructed to cope with the Nordic Winter. I spotted this beautiful specimen at a gas station. The proud owner told me it's a 1963 model with some modifications – most notably the brakes which have been upgraded to disc brakes. It took Volvo quite a long time to make the brakes as good as the rest of the car.
