Coney's Castle

We visited the ancient hill fort Lambert's Castle today and then walked from there to another hill fort, Coney's Castle. Although it was scorchio, much of the walk was under trees and so was very pleasant.
This is our son and daughter-in-law at Coney's Castle, on the outer wall. The extra is on our way back to Lambert's Castle (where we had parked).
We then drove to a nearby pub where we ate a light lunch, and for the first time ever, sat indoors as it was too hot outside, even under the shade. It was very pleasant inside as it was a 16th century thatched building, and they tend to remain at a lovely temperature summer and winter.
