Michael Monroe

Rebellion diary, day #3

Oh, wow. This day promised so little and delivered so much. Quality rather than quantity, though. I’ll save the eulogies for Tuesday when the review gets published but standing in front of John Lydon is a moment that will be hard to beat. He was utterly amazing.

Hanoi Rocks front man Micheal Monroe was perhaps the surprise of the weekend and I hadn’t expected him to be as good as he was. It’s easily 30 years since I last saw him on stage and it was little different. His energy and enthusiasm was a real treat.

It’ll be a wrench to head home tomorrow. This is the most amazing of festivals and long may it carry on.
