Hope is Alive

Another step forward today as I met the transplant surgeon at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.  It went well, we have a plan, we have progress.

On the way home I broke down.  Talking about my problem with the surgeon reminds me of how close to death I am, and how the longer I remain on dialysis the quicker my overall health will deteriorate.  Just talking about the transplant and all I'm going to go through is scary.  Do I really want to put myself through this?

The answer is yes!  I will keep on fighting.  I've got unfinished business with life.
