These flowers look absolutely amazing outside the front of our house.  they are kept alive using an automatic watering system

On the subject of water - my extra shows a hole that Severn Trent Water have just dug outside our house.  For at least 30 years we have had problems with a blocked drain.  It always decides to block at Christmas and other awkward moments and for years we paid someone to come out and clear it. 

We then discovered that as the drain was shared with our neighbour it was actually Severn Trent's responsibility.   After a few call-outs they got fed up and decided to investigate it.  A couple of camera surveys later the cause has been found to be a collapsed drain and now they have alienated everyone down our cul-de-sac road by digging it up.   

I have spared you the view down the hole which is not a pretty sight.  They tell me they are coming back to finish it tomorrow when they have got a part.
