I initially thought there was a moth flying in front of the light, causing flickering, but then the rumbling became audible. There was very little rain, so I was out in the garden as the storm passed directly overhead, watching the cloud-to-cloud discharges. This was a long-exposure on repeating timer out of the window once the flashy bits had moved north.
