wee lumps

Of all the various devices used for lugging them around, this was my favourite and the one which has seen the most protracted use. I briefly borrowed a more modern equivalent of the same brand one day when we went to the museum of farming life but it was much less comfortable than this one. During my use of it the first occupant preferred leaning to the side so much that the bit which houses the end of the frame ripped and required repair, but the temporary lack of availability helped wean the big one off and made space for his wee brother, who has recently enjoyed a last wee spurt of use for Beaver pickups in the evening, despite his increasing size. Along with pudgy wrists, strange wee babbling noises and afternoon naps, I will miss it, but it carried two children prior to mine and will be returned to its former owner to pass on to someone else.
