Elephant Ride

The most uncomfortable ride of my life was on one of these elephants! And that's saying something having cycled over 1,000 miles in 10 days, travelled in a local Nepali bus for 8 hours, and sat in church on hard wooden pews!

This was the mode of transport for kings and the rich in Nepal in the past, and they're welcome to it! They call these elephants All Terrain Vehicles.
